HFC Rambles At The James Joyce Ramble
2019-04-29 - HFC had a great turnout as usual at the Ramble, along with great course support and finish line MC-ing by Paul Muldoon! HFC placed 3rd men's 40+ team, 2nd and 5th 50+ men's, 8th 60+ men's team, and 4th women's 50+ team! Nice 6th open for Lily, 5th master for TJ, and awesome age graded* performances by Jason, John Sullivan, Mimi, George, and Bob Ruel.
HFC Toughs It Out At The Boston Marathon
2019-04-18 - Great effort by our marathoners on a warm weather day and we still came through with 11 BQ’s out of 19 finishers! Lots of great support and cheering provided on race day along with the post race celebrating at the Secret Bar and at Lewis’! Click here for race results

HFC Impressive WOW Moments At The USATF National Masters Indoor Championship meet
Jason Cakouros, Scott Grandfield, and and TJ Unger traveled south this weekend and have been tearing up the track on the national stage. The results have been inspiring to say the least. On Friday, TJ wins the gold medal(1st 40-44 in 9:05.46) and Jason (2nd 50-54 in 9:52.3) got off to a great start in the 3k and Scott with his 4th place finish in the Men's 50-54 400m Dash in 61.89 seconds.
On Saturday's master's mile, Jason ran 5:00.10 for 6th 50-54, and TJ wins gold by 3 seconds in 4:31.77 with a final lap 200 in 31.01!On Sunday, TJ placed 2nd (40-44) in the 800 in 2:04.14, and Scott placed 6th in 2:21.30, and Jason placed 7th (50-54) in 2:21.49. Great racing, 2 national championships for TJ, and great national exposure for HFC!!

HFC Celebrates at the Annual HFC Convention
2019-01-28 - Many thanks to Chris Wargo & Mary McNulty and their team of helpers for putting on a fun and tasty HFC Convention! Victories were celebrated, many awards were handed out, raffles were won, great food and beverages were consumed, and great inspirational speeches delivered by Ed and Harvey!

2018 HFC Christmas Carol Run
2018-12-19 - HFC had a great night in Boston running and caroling our way to our favorite pubs and sites. We started at the Nova Scotia Tree at the Boston Common with O Come All Ye Faithful, and made our way to the Red Hat for apps, beers, and
sang We Wish you a Merry Christmas. Then on to our 1st photo stop at the Sam Adams statue, then to Donovans, then to the top the balcony at Fanueil Hall for the 12 Days Of Christmas. Onwards to Mr. Dooleys for live music and refreshements, and then our final stop at Hub Pub. A great night of holiday fun and cheer with some HFC trivia sprinkled in. Awesome job by Paul Muldoon running the show!

HFC Off To Great Start at Elm Bank XC
2018-09-10 - A great day for HFC Cross Country! The women's team gets 1st place with all 5 striders finishing in the top 13. The men's open team gets 3rd place with Steve Curley getting the win. Chris Canning most improved from last year(19:40) running 18:13. The men's masters team gets 1st place with TJ and Lee going 1-2 and Tim, Justin, and Scott placing 7-8-9. 24 striders in total raced and more watched and supported the team! Awesome racing! And like last year, 2 bee stings for Holmes and TVO.
HFC Almost sweeps the top 10 at the Rally 4 Sally in Dedham
2018-07-04 - Great turnout and racing on a hot and steamy 4th of July! HFC sweeps 1-7, 10th, 11, 13,16, 20, etc...THe HFC women sweep 1-4. Lots of age group winners. Big shoutout to all the striders for beating the heat and their competition.

2018-06-26 - HFC had a great turnout and great performances at the BarrelhouseZ 5k! HFC had 3 in the top 10(TJ 2nd, Curley 5th, Cak 10th), plus age group awards to Cak, Eileen, Corky and Mary.
HFC At New England Championship 5 Miler
2018-06-17 - Congratulations to the HFC Masters team for placing a very close 2nd at the Ribfest 5 Miler, perhaps the best team finish in a USATF event! The masters team was led by newly minted master runners TJ Unger (1st) and Lee Danforth (3rd), plus Jason Cak, John Sullivan and Brendan Lynch. The seniors team took 6th place and the open team placed 8th with Mike DiTocco as the only under 40.
Victory at The SRR Marathon Relay
2018-06-02 - The 4th time is the charm! HFC finally took home m the 1st place trophy! It was a great team effort with 16 men and 10 women covering 26.2 miles in 2:20:23.
Great Day for HFC at Christophers Run 5K
2018-05-26 - HFC had a great turnout and great performances at the Christophers 5k! 6 runners in teh top 10 with lots of trophies earned with TJ & Lee going 1-2, and Jason, Eileen, and Mimi winning their age groups.

Steve Curley Big PR at Portland Half
2019-04-28 - Congratulations to Steve Curley for his 64 second PR at the Portland Half! He ran 1:10:00 and placed 15th overall. It is only a matter of time before he takes down the club half record which stands at 1:09:08.
Nikki Nelson 1st place at Hot Chocolate 15k
2019-04-27 - Congratulations to Nikki for her win (15th overall) at the Hot Chocolate 15k in Brooklyn NY! She ran a time of 1:05:06 and claims a shiny new medal. Great racing!
Christina Wins Doyles!
2019-04-12 - Congratulations to Christina Campbell on her victory at the Doyles 5 miler and Pub Series race #1! She ran a great race in a time of 30:59 and 32nd place overall.

Kenny Rayner runs sub-2:30 marathon!
2019-03-24 - Congratulations to Kenny Rayner on finally breaking the 2:30 barrier and winning his age group at the Sketchers Performance LA Marathon in a time of 2:28:03. "Kenny’s passion for running and pursuit of excellence on race day has been a prominent theme throughout his career and today he saw it all come together. Congratulations to Kenny, our west coast badass, on what is certainly the strongest performance of his incredible career.(SC)"
TJ & Lee set HFC Masters Records in mile and 800
2019-02-09 - Congratulations to TJ and Lee for their new HFC masters mile & 800m records resp. at the BU Valentine meet. TJ ran a strong race, passing half the field in the last lap to record his outstanding 4:26.85. Lee "Speed Demon" Danforth ran a blistering 2:01.57 in the 800m racing against college kids half his age.
First WOW moment of 2019
2019-01-01 - The first WOW moment of 2019 happened in Londonderry, New Hampshire when the feet of Lee Danforth, Jason Cakouros and Scott Grandfield set fire to Mammoth Road at the Millennium Mile. Lee placed 7th overall (1st Master) in 4:14.7, Jason placed 24th overall (1st Senior) in 4:33.1 and Scott placed 41st overall (3rd Senior) in 4:47.3. Great job guys!
